A fine example of an oak and cast iron school desk complete with inkwell. Originally used over many years in a Bromsgrove school it is the most original and characterful example Ed has seen.
It has a lift up seat to help you get in and out or stretch your legs and a comfortable sloping top which makes writing so much more comfortable. It is very solid and substantial but will come apart for transportation if needed. It has been - of course - scribbled and graffitied on over the years including a “Villa” if there are any fans reading this!
The desk top is 66w x 50cm. The highest point of the desk is 85cm.
As we are passionate about extending the life of each piece of furniture it is inevitable that there will be some small imperfections. We believe these add to the unique quality of each piece. There are scuffs, graffiti and marks commensurate with the age of the piece.
