This beautiful pitch pine organ bench was rescued from a church in Staffordshire that was due for demolition. It has, as you can see, two different heights to the seat and leans in to the organ. Ed is fascinated by the craftsmanship that has gone into making this. He tells me that there are through tenon, stopped tenon and tenon and wedged joints in this bench and not one nail or any glue used.
It is 122cm long overall. The higher seat is 58cm high and the lower 31cm.
