These totally unique pitch pine pews (with table and benches to match) were rescued from a church in Staffordshire that was about to be demolished. Ed has taken the pews and after a lot of hard work and skill, returned them to their former glory. Each piece has been cleaned thoroughly, stripped back to the original colour, lightly sanded and Danish oil applied to bring out the grain.
They are in excellent condition. They have a lovely warm natural colour. They are beautifully solid and substantial and in amazing condition - not one joint has moved through age or time. There is a hymn book shelf to the rear perfect for storing books or maybe gloves and scarves if kept in a hallway. The pews are freestanding and look fantastic from all angles. Ed is in awe of the original craftsmanship that went into making these pews. The condition that they are in is remarkable when you consider their age and use.
